A local radio was playing "Cattails" as we were driving out of town yesterday. After a couple of more songs, the DJ said that Kenny Rankin is a legend and referred to him in the past tense. I was so shocked to realize that Kenny has passed away!! Where was I that this tragic news has not reached me sooner??
Kenny Rankin had been one of my favorite singers. I love his laid back style and humor, it is real music compared to the kind we hear days. I am glad that my husband and I had the privilege to watch him perform live in the Philippines a few years ago. He was a truly gifted artist and I know his great music has touched many lives, as he had mine. His family should rightfully feel proud! God rest your soul, Kenny!
