It is amazing to me that so much time has passed since I first heard "Haven't We Met" on WNEW-AM in NY. I was always amazed that Kenny did not have a broader recognition, simply based on the amazing instrument he had, his voice. Knowing that his music will live on is a joy to someone like me, and I am sure all on this forum, who have simply enjoyed this immense talent for all these many years. I was fortunate to meet Kenny when a friend of mine, Tony Caroleo, played with him at the Turning Point. I told Kenny how my son used to sing Birembau when he was barely old enough to talk. When Kenny sang that song he ended it by singing, "and George's son used to sing that song when he was a little boy". What a kick! What else can I say? Thank you Kenny for all the pleasure, for all these years. Thanks to his family for seeing that his music will endure. Much love to you all.
