The Subject: My sympathy

I was a highschool kid of 17 (1972) when I first heard Kenny's album "Silvermorning" in a coffeehouse in the city of Leiden, Holland, where we used to hang out. I loved that album, bought it and after a while I could dream every song. A singer-guitarplayer myself I was impressed by the jazzy sound of the songs especially "In the name of love". I am now 53 and have 40 years of guitarplaying under my belt and my style has been heavily influenced by Kenny's music and particularly that song. I own all of his albums and have been playing them for all those years when I am in my "Kenny Rankin mood". I was shocked hearing about his decease just recently and would like to pass on my sympathy to his family. And I thank Kenny for his beautiful voice and inspiration and for being part of my musical life over the past 36 years. May he rest in peace.
