Today I learned of Kenny's passing as I was looking for concert tickets to give as a birthday present for a friend. I was privileged to experience the music of Kenny Rankin live on 5 different occasions. every concert was another opportunity to hear and feel the music "touch me in the center of my chest".I was always amazed at how he could take a song and make it his, and how much his connection with the audience enhanced every song for me when I listened to it later.In February of 2008 was my last time to hear Kenny sing,in Las Vegas.I spent one of the greatest days of my life with someone I love and the concert was the highlight of the evening.I am sure for me and thousands of others we will ALWAYS be grateful for how his music has touched and blessed our lives. May God bless his family.
