I heartfelt message of comfort to all family and friends. I have to share the following because it was such a great memory. We went to see Kenny at the Blue Note in NYC January of 1996. This is where my husband forwarded a letter to Kenny to read in front of the crowd to ask me to marry him. After Kenny sang he said "What did she say?" My husband yelled "YES". We stayed for 2 more songs and we got up to leave. In the middle of Kenny singing he stopped and said jokingly, "how rude, are you guys going to listen to Johnny Mathis albums?"..lol. Everyone laughed. Since then my husband passed April of 2008. But the times we shared listening to such a blessed wonderful voice as Kennys was priceless!!!
