I discovered Kenny Rankin's music by mistake. I was trying to download 'Peaceful' by Georgie Fame but instead got Kenny's original version. I was so impressed with it that I bought a 'best of' CD and became absolutely hooked. I have been a big music fan for forty years or more but I cannot think of a more pure and melodic male voice than Kenny Rankin's. I was also so impressed with his guitar playing on his Jazz DVD.I only became aware of Kenny's passing whilst listening to Paul Gambachini on Radio 2 and it was akin to learning of the death of a close friend. God Bless you Kenny Rankin -I never got to see you perform but your music will live on forever.
