We often read of certain artists being a musician's musician, or a singer's singer. You are in a position to judge better than we lay folks, that Kenny's voice was an instrument above and beyond most other humans who have walked the earth!
It's no coincidence that you've felt compelled to add your thoughts; ironically, your voice is a most curious one; you have the sound of many accomplished vocalists.......you have some Van Morrison, you have, big time, Bill Withers, you have a bit of Al Jarreau, some Boz Scaggs.....you sound damn good.
I'm sure you can give testimony to how high on the ladder Kenny was positioned...............we here are still in shock and mourning, and thankfully we have been left with his treasury of albums, and with singers like yourself, adding your talent to the emptiness we feel....Kenny would want us, of course, to keep enjoying the music; he often said, as I listened to interviews, that it wasn't about him, it was about the music.
I plan to check out your itinerary, your new album is extraordinary if I may add something positive to what has been a forum filled with tears.
