I just read about Mr. Rankin's death and want to extend my condolences to his family, his agent and manager, his musical colleagues, his friends, and his many fans, of which I am one. Mr. Rankin's music has been a large part of my life for decades and I will miss seeing him live at Scullers in Boston. But we still have the gift of his music. He was such a remarkable artist and musician. The world has lost some of its luster.........
