Hello Dave,
To the best of my knowledge, I have been playing the song the same way for years.
It is what I heard on Joao's recording, and from the composer, Baden Powell himself.
I usually don't play with a band, so I'm guessing you were at the Berks Festival, where
I joined up with Marc Antoine and Paul Brown, for the festival only.
