I also have been a long-time fan of Rankin. He blew the house away when he was at the Mosque in the 70s. I think he opened for Gino Vanelli (how is that for an odd couple) and the audience would not let him leave the stage. First saw him on the Flip Wilson Show singing an acoustical version of “Coming Down”. Have all his stuff. He has a great local following.
