Last night we attended the concert in Montclair. I have been listening to you since I was 17 years old. I am a long time fan and just wanted to tell you how thrilled I was to have the opportunity to hear you perform . I was a bit troubled when I read about the Transient Global Amnesia. (I checked it out this morning on the web) anyway, it mentioned that after the episode was finished you might not retain what transpired while it was happening. If in fact that is so , and you lost the memory of what happened last night, I would like to tell you how special it was for us. But more, it seemed to be very wonderful for you. Your voice was as sweet and inspired as it is on the albums I have been listening to all these years. You played a touching song at the piano about being a dad, which I have never heard before and it was obvious it came from the heart and you seemed pleased to have performed it. I hope you remember how the audience clapped for you and that we rose to our feet in a standing ovation at the end. I hope this helps you capture the moment if for some sad reason you lost it. You have a gorgeous gift and I so appreciate what your music has meant in my life. It reminds me a bit of a line I loved from the movie Pretty Woman. When the get in the elevator to go on an special date she turns and says "if I forget to tell you later, I really had a great time tonight" Well I believe you did. Thank you. a long time fan
