You would expect that as a fan of Kenny's I am posting to defend him. There is of course no need because 1)Kenny has already responded on his own and 2) the issue is not whether you are right or wrong in your assessment........My message here is not to argue with the poster.
What IS apparent is that your anger is so consuming you decided it could only be expressed publicly. Kenny's posts include his email, so your assertions could have been made to him; but rather, you wanted the world to know the angry truth as you know it.......I'd ask you to consider venting your spleen, or, giving the advice (you are positioning yourself as someone who has important advice for Kenny to consider) by doing so privately, but at this juncture, if I were Kenny, I'd have put you on 'ignore', so email is may not be an option.........
I'm not looking to do battle with you, Mr, Kennedy.....this is a Forum inside a monitor, and we sit at the keyboard and........ah, now there's another point to consider!!!!.... The PC is many things, but first and foremost it gives us a forum to say angry, outrageous, hateful, and, conversely, tender and loving things, in ANONYMITY......(that your name is included matters little, we all can hide behind the monitor, as I'm doing now!) It allows us to get close to performers because they now (unlike in our youth) are able to create these forums, and Kenny's is a bit different in that many of his colleagues don't speak with the audience, Kenny does. It allows us to thank them for their contributions, but the other side is that it allows us to berate them.
Mr. Kennedy, I admire the body of work that belongs to Kenny. If I was critical of him, esp. in the manner you are, I'd have to decide if it was important enough to share with him. But it's not brave, in fact, it's pusillanimous, to take advantage of the anonymity of a monitor and a keyboard just so you can express your anger, maybe even rage, so that all can see; I'd opt to do so privately.
What I think is most perplexing to my fellow readers, (had to go back to your comments a second time), is that this is being said along side your gratitude to Kenny for making a special cd for a dying parent/relative?...........make that ?????????????????
I'm not awaiting your reply. I'm awaiting the announcement of the next K. Rankin album (oops, cd........will never get used to that :))
We live in an uncivil world; and there is not much to do about it; at least it seems that way. Forgive me for feeling the need to address an indecent, uncivil way of communicating.......it doesn't sit well with me.
