Saw a peaceful, easy, wonderful performance last Friday night at TCAN in Natick, MA. Great interaction with the audience. Right before Mr. Rankin left the lobby, my wife and I came back in to tell him how much we enjoyed the show and mentioned how we had seen him in 1978 at the Dr. Pepper Music Festival in Central Park, NYC. He commented how that was a "dark" time for him and said "thanks for the memory." I hope he didn't think I brought it up to complain in some way or that I knew that was a difficult time for him and purposely wanted to remind him of that. I mentioned it because it was a great time for us when life was less complicated and we were younger. It is a positive memory for us, as this performance will grow to be. Please let him know this.
