Just wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed your music over the years, particularly your Silver Morning album (Penny Lane, Haven't We Met: Huge favorites), and the one you made with Don Costa with When Sunny Gets Blue and Here's That Rainy Day.
Also, I was assigned to photograph an event here in Chicago back in 1999. There were at least two musical guests who played. As I listened to the first musician it sounded like he was playing a lot of Kenny Rankin songs and sounded a lot like you. I looked closely at that musician, and it was YOU. I went to shake your hand. You asked my name. A simple thing, but a terrific thrill. It was a Carson's Ribs Anniversary. The other musician I remember was Jimmy Webb, and I was allowed by Chris Carson to photograph the two of you shooting the breeze in a back room. We had to surrender the negatives of that night, but I'm about to ask Mr. Carson at this late date if I can use them for samples of my work. Meanwhile, thanks for all the great music.
