Life had become very routine and harder than it should be...even for my usually-optimistic spirit. I've lived in California's Central Valley for the past 5 years, but becomingly increasingly restless and homesick for where I grew up; the Calif. coast between Ventura and San Luis Obispo. We've planned to move back but circumstances have kept delaying it, and to make matters worse, my beloved husband and I have been working opposite shifts (he on swing, myself on days) for several months now. One day at work, feeling depressed and claustrophic in my cubicle, my manager Debbie came by to say Hi and offer a smile. Out of the blue, she said, "Have you ever heard of Kenny Rankin?" I brightened immediately and told her I found Kenny through my husband, who sang a beautiful version of "Silver Morning" to me on one of our first dates. She loaned me her CD of The Kenny Rankin Album, and I played it today at lunchtime. It was hot, but I found a perfect patch of shade at a tiny downtown park. As I listened, something in my heart moved and opened up; I cried a little. I felt so much better! Thank you Kenny, for lifting my soul (once again!).
Sincerely, *Susan*
PS: Kenny, if I may ask...what is your date of birth? :)
