The fascinating thing about music, and for me it's the golden age of the 60's and 70's (it's often said that the 60's started with the death of JFK and ended with the advent of disco, for what that's worth), and certainly those artists who started at that time, Kenny, JT, Paul Simon, all of those icons mean a great deal to me now, with their ongoing music; but not much of the new is appealing.....
but the fascinating thing is that music brings you not just back to a place, but to many places; there are songs of Kenny's I sang to girlfriend and that moment is recaptured in hearing the song, and the same song(s) I sang alone, wishing I had that someone.....
The gift of a Kenny Rankin vocal isn't simply the sound, it's the sound and its impact, and the artist's ability to continue performing it live, as Kenny does; and if not, it's frozen in time on vinyl or cd. It's a gift to us......a lifetime gift, and as I suggested last time, the giving is a gift unto itself, so Kenny should enjoy many moments experiencing that gratitude of his fans, in private moments.....many of us don't have the opportunity, nor talent, to bring a smile or a tear to a multitude of people.
And as for you, good luck with your academic pursuit; as an educator of special needs children, a program I've run for 15 years, and another 7 years before that, it is clear that nutrition and diet play an integral role in the healthy intellectual, emotional and physical development of an infant, toddler, and preschooler.
