We are in complete agreement; a wonderful song for Kenny to do......
Since Kenny often responds to the Board, let me ask what/if any influence Lani Hall/Sergio Mendes had on his music; I was 15 or so when they came to prominence, I think Kenny is about 4 or 5 years older than I, so his musical repetoire was being formulated; we know the Beatles moved him greatly, becoming one their most noted interpreters; but it would seem to me that Kenny, like yours truly, was spending some late nights listening not only to the Fab 4 and Richie Havens and other hip and talented folk artists, but also to the Brasilian imports..........Astrud Gilberto and writers like Gilberto and Jobim were coming to America's attention, and Mendes with Hall were integral in opening our ears to the music of South America; many will recall the soundtrack to Black Orpheus (Day in the Life of a Fool, done by Kenny btw).......
So Kenny, did singers like Hall, and Astrud, shape some of your musical inclinations, or had you moved in the direction independent of those 60's excursions into the world of Samba, etc?
