Ok, having started this thread I did not think I was starting a battle, but merely asking the question, "Does anyone else find that the Silver Morning CD contains distortion?" I just wanted to know whether my CD was like everyone else's.

I began by saying how much I loved having the CD. I gladly paid the price and would have paid more. I would have liked it to be more clear because I love the music so much. I also would have liked liner notes and lyrics, for that matter. I am more curious and disappointed than complaining.

I am grateful to Kenny for having rereleased this music, and would love to hear his comments on the process of coverting it to CD.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but my wife and I were just so excited to have the wonderful content of that work available (which transported us right back to the early 70's) that we completely failed to notice that it was a analog recording. It's the music which moves us, not the quality of the recording. Like you, I just wish folks would stop whining about technology and wrap themselves around the music.
