Hey Kenny!
I would have written sooner, but was under the impression the forum was closed. I'm SO glad it's open!

My wife and I want to say a HUGE "thank you" for dedicating "Haven't We Met?" on your first night at Jazz Alley (our 28th anniversary). It was a lifetime memory for us!

I've been hooked on your music since the summer of 1976. My sister had "Silver Morning" and I copied it to a cassette tape (through a mic!) and took it to Aleutian Islands as my only music for the summer while I worked on a crab processing ship. I would listen to it and pine for home! It's amazing when a certain collection of songs can bring back such vivid memories. I feel like that album is part of my soul! You're right in being proud of it. It is SO good!

When Kris and I were married in 1978, I distinctly remember singing "Haven't We Met" as we drove to Canada for our honeymoon! I've always appreciated (OK...honestly, ENVYED is more like it) your amazing range, tastefully tuneful vocal improv. and incredible arrangements. I actually sat down at one point and figured out all the chords to "Haven't We Met?"!!! I still play it when I'm needing to play something for a pre-concert sound check!

So, from a couple of people who are musicians and long-time fans...thanks for coming to Seattle. We heard you one other time in Seattle, in a dinner theatre-type setting, but not Jazz Alley. (Where was it?)

OH...the DVD that came out a few years ago. NICE! You are amazing. When you come back to Seattle...we'll be there!

-John and Kris
