Six of the songs appear on the Rhino compilation "Peaceful The Best of Kenny Rankin" (still in print): Silver Morning, Blackbird, In The Name Of Love, Haven't We Met, Penny Lane and the "bonus" cut Why Do Fools Fall In Love. While I understand the economic pressures on musicians, it seems a bit excessive to be charging $24.00 for a CD, especially when six of the tracks are still available.

I have followed this forum for at least two years, and many people have requested that Kenny re-release Silver Morning. Many who have followed Kenny's artistry since the late 60's would arfue that Silver Morning ranks among the most memorable albums ever recorded.

I gladly paid my $24 for this fine recording, as I have completely worn out the vinyl and tape versions to which I previously listened. I suppose it's like any other kind of art, in that everyone has to judge its worth for themselves. Your choice is clear if you find the price of the art excessive. As for me? I'm thinking of purchasing a second CD, just to have one in reserve. Who knows when this jewel will be published again .....
