while I was getting ready to go to the disco. What can I say, I was musically conflicted.
Anyway - Kenny Rankin was going to play at the old Roxie theater in Pacific Beach. I went
to the theater early to buy my tickets. When the night of the show came, boy did my date
and I luck out. Front row seats!!! There couldn't have been twenty people in the audience.
After a forgettable opening act Kenny took the stage and threw one tantrum after another.

Greetings Steve,
Thank you for your honesty.
What troubles me is that you have had this resentment for almost 25 years.
Not very healthy my friend.
The night you are refering to was something that I am grateful is behind me. Cocaine is
something that can make an asshole out of anyone, and on that night ......it was my turn.
Fortunatly, I left that fast lane in 1980.
Today my life is a beautiful thing.
Come on over the next time I am in your neck of the woods, and say hello.
Thanks for the memory,
Be safe and well,
Kenny
