Back in the summer of 78 I really dug alot of what we'd now probably lump into "alternative" music. I like to think of it as just plain nice music. Even though I ran the town as much as I could afford, I'd listen to Kenny Rankin, John Klemmer and Al Jarreau while I was getting ready to go to the disco. What can I say, I was musically conflicted. Anyway - Kenny Rankin was going to play at the old Roxie theater in Pacific Beach. I went to the theater early to buy my tickets. When the night of the show came, boy did my date and I luck out. Front row seats!!! There couldn't have been twenty people in the audience. After a forgettable opening act Kenny took the stage and threw one tantrum after another.
I still like the records but dude, you stunk the place up.

    Peace Out
