It was a pleasure to meet you after the Railhead performance in Las Vegas this past weekend, and thanks again for taking the time to take a picture with me and my wife, Dana. Well worth the trip from Phoenix.
As I wrote in my previous email, I had not seen you perform since the late 70’s or early 80’s in Northern California, and I have to say that you sounded incredible as ever. In the past 2 years I have seen The Allman Brothers, Aerosmith, Godsmack, Stevie Nicks, Metallica, Chicago and you. If I could go back and only pick one of those…without question it would be Kenny Rankin. And for what it’s worth, I thought your set list was excellent as well…including your brief version (but still fantastic) of “Silver Morning”.
I would also like to say Dana and I enjoyed our elevator conversation with you on the way up to our rooms. After the hug and kiss you gave her, she informed me later that she was not going to wash her cheek…ever! I’ll cut her some slack and give her at least a week or so. We’re looking forward to seeing you perform in the near future, hopefully one of the Southern Cal performances you already have booked.
P.S. Any chance there will be other West Coast performances added to your schedule?
